Dr. Junwei Guo is a research associate in fluid mechanics, hydrology, and environmental modeling whose work focuses on stratified turbulence, multiphase flows, and process-based hydrologic simulations. His research integrates theoretical analysis, high-fidelity numerical simulation, laboratory experiments, and high-performance computing to investigate complex geophysical and environmental flow systems. He has published studies on instability-driven turbulence, lattice Boltzmann simulations of stratified flows, particle settling and suspension dynamics, and scalable hydrologic modeling frameworks for large-domain Earth system simulations. His recent work also includes advancing high-performance computing implementations for hydrologic models and improving coupled lake–land–river representations within land surface modeling systems.
