Ignacio is a PhD Candidate at the University of Calgary. Ignacio’s research focuses on quantifying and reducing uncertainty in land-surface and hydrological models, particularly in evapotranspiration and streamflow. Key interests are (i) using traditional and machine learning emulators to calibrate models, (ii) quantifying and reducing structural uncertainty, and (iii) science communication. Ignacio has published his work in leading international journals, including Hydrological Sciences Journal, Science of the Total Environment, Wiley Interdisciplinary Reviews: Water, Journal of Arid Environments, and Atmospheric Research.
